So since my trip I’ve not managed to get anything done on this project, however I have got some ideas. I found out that my iPad can 3D scan things using LiDAR really accurately:
I’m thinking this could be a way to create mythical creature forms to use in the gargoyles. Used in conjunction with what I can build with the PIFuHD algorithm.
A shame I only just learned this now! Would have been great to use on the Sculptures I saw around Italy.
